Keep Florida Beautiful is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors who bring strong experience from business, industry, tourism, government, affiliate organizations and professional organizations. Together they create and manage programs that are practical, reasonable and sustainable.

Liz DeWitt - Chair
Executive Director, Florida Beverage Association
Liz is the Executive Director of the Florida Beverage Association and is located in St. Augustine, Florida where she oversees public policy initiatives and works with local and state governments on issues impacting the Beverage Industry. She is a graduate of Northwest Missouri State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business and a Master’s of Business Administration. Liz and her family enjoy living an active lifestyle in the great outdoors. Being a member of the Keep Florida Beautiful Board helps ensure that the beauty of Florida will be enjoyed by her family for generations to come.
Dawn McCormick - 1st Vice Chair
Director of Communications & Government Relations, Waste Management Inc. of Florida
Dawn is the Director of Communications and Government Relations for Waste Management Inc. of Florida. Based in Pompano Beach, Florida, she is responsible for external and internal communications and community relations for Waste Management throughout Florida. Dawn is a graduate of Northwestern University where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism. Dawn serves on the Keep Florida Beautiful Board because she’s honored to be part of a dynamic and engaged organization of state leaders who, working through the organization’s network of affiliates, is committed to improving the environment of Florida.
Erin M. Black - 2nd Vice Chair
VP Sustainability and Risk Management, Coca-Cola Beverages Florida
Erin Black is the Vice President of Sustainability and Risk Management for Coca-Cola Beverages Florida, based in Tampa. In this role, Erin leads the company’s strategy and execution of environmental, health, safety, and loss prevention with proven enterprise-wide strategy creation. She is a graduate of Keene State College with two Bachelor of Science degrees in Industrial Safety and Business Management. She also holds a Masters degree from Drake University in Adult Learning, Development, and Performance. As a native Floridian, Erin is excited to serve on the Keep Florida Beautiful Board where she can focus on continuing her passion to create an environmentally literate society that understands why environmental stewardship is critical now and for the generations to come.
Jerrie Lindsey - Secretary & Treasurer
Director, Public Access & Wildlife Viewing Service, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission
Jerrie is Director of Public Access Services at the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission in Tallahassee, Florida. She helps provide opportunities for Floridians and visitors to view wildlife and experience the rugged expanses of Florida’s wildlife management area system. Jerrie enjoys serving on the Keep Florida Beautiful Board because of the opportunity to enhance the beauty and environment of Florida’s communities working with such dedicated board members, affiliates and volunteers.
Steve Lezman - Past Chair
Senior Director, Government Affairs, PepsiCo
Steve is the Senior Director of Governmental Affairs for PepsiCo based in Bradenton, Florida. In his role, he represents all the PepsiCo brands including Tropicana, Pepsi, Frito-Lay, Quaker and Gatorade, in 11 states in the Southeast and Midwest. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering. Steve serves on the Keep Florida Beautiful Board to support the effort of thousands of volunteers throughout the State that work to pick up litter, increase recycling and beautify our communities.
President, Public Affairs Consultants, Inc.
Keyna is President of Public Affairs Consultants, Inc. in Tallahassee, Florida where she works with a variety of legislative clients in the following areas: solid waste, environmental issues, transportation issues, telecommunications, agriculture, water and general business issues. Keyna serves on the Keep Florida Beautiful Board because she believes our economy depends on Florida being a clean, vibrant state and that Keep Florida Beautiful plays a big part in keeping litter off our roads & beaches and supporting communities in their beautification efforts.
Senior Editor - Marketing/Brand, VISIT FLORIDA
Kevin is the senior editor (content director) for VISIT FLORIDA, the state’s official tourism marketing organization. In 2011, VISIT FLORIDA hired Kevin to build a Florida network of journalists to write, film and photograph stories about Florida travel destinations and experiences, and distribute that journalism on as many platforms as possible. A graduate of the University of Scranton and Syracuse University, Kevin is a Philadelphia native and remains hopelessly connected to the city’s sports teams. Kevin serves on the Keep Florida Beautiful board because he treasures our natural resources; believes in development as long as it mandates the preservation of — even better, creation of — public green space; stands for preserving the integrity of our public lands as a legacy to future generations.
Attorney and Shareholder, Gardner, Bist, Bowden, Bush, Dee, LaVia and Wright, PA
David is an attorney and shareholder in the firm of Gardner, Bist, Bowden, Bush, Dee La Via and Wright, P.A. in Tallahassee, Florida. He practices in the areas of environmental and administrative law with a special expertise in solid waste management facilities and programs. He is a graduate of Emory University and the Florida State University College of Law. A former volunteer in the Peace Corps (Nepal and Ethiopia), David serves on the Keep Florida Beautiful Board because it enables him to combine his desire to work on community projects with his experience in environmental issues
Media and Community Relations Manager, Publix Super Markets
Dwaine serves as the Media and Community Relations Manager for Publix Super Markets based in Jacksonville, FL. As a Spokesperson, Dwaine is committed to cultivating relationships in the communities that Publix serves. He recognizes Keep Florida Beautiful as powerful brand that is working collectively to raise awareness on sustainable practices with over 40 affiliates throughout the state. Publix Super Markets is known for its sustainable practices and for being responsible citizens in the communities they operate in. Dwaine serves on the Keep Florida Beautiful board because he believes that in working together, we will continue to develop synergies and responsible practices that will benefit local communities and our beautiful state.
Plant Manager, Nestlé Waters North America
Maria is the Plant Manager for Nestlé Waters North America’s (NWNA) Zephyrhills, Florida facility which produces Zephyrhills® Brand 100% Natural Spring Water, Deer Park® Brand 100% Natural Spring Water, and Nestlé® Pure Life®. Maria started her career with NWNA as the National Sales Process Manager in 2013. In 2016, she took a role overseeing the Large Format Factory Operations, producing all 3- and 5-gallon product for the U.S. She later transitioned to a national transformation team responsible for executing high-level improvement projects for NWNA before transitioning to Florida for her current role. She is a graduate of Cornell University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research. She has also completed several six sigma certified projects throughout her professional career. Maria serves on the Keep Florida Beautiful Board in order to better serve her community, the beautiful landscape of Florida, and her colleagues on the same mission.
Chair, Keep Florida Beautiful Affiliate Council
Patricia DePlasco serves as the Chair of the Keep Florida Beautiful Affiliate Council. In addition, she is the Executive Director of Keep Pinellas Beautiful. Pat’s experience includes a 25-year tenure as a classrom Teacher, Keep America Beautiful Affiliate – Environmental and Education Program Cooridinator, Community Liaison and Development Director. Today, she is responsible for building and maintaining a team of qualified, environmentally passionate staff to carry out her organization’s mission to conserve and beautify our natural environment by means of community engagement and education. Pat believes that “Together, we will keep Pinellas (America) beautiful” and is a proponent of collaboration for sustainable change. Her commitment to collaboration is what motivates her to serve on the Keep Florida Beautiful Board.
Affiliate Representative, Keep Brevard Beautiful
Tony serves as the Senior Advisor for Keep Brevard Beautiful, Inc. in Cocoa, Florida. He and his team strive to keep their communities clean with a focus on eradicating litter. Tony served as a Cocoa Beach City Commission and in the Florida House of Representatives. He attended Calhoon MEBA Engineering School in Maryland. As someone who grew up in and enjoys Florida’s great outdoor environment, Tony enjoys serving on the Keep Florida Beautiful Board so he can work with others who are working as hard as they can to keep Florida’s future sustainable.
Affiliate Representative, Keep Sarasota County Beautiful
Wendi is the program coordinator for Keep Sarasota County Beautiful in Sarasota, FL. She works with volunteers and key stakeholders throughout Sarasota County to help maintain a clean, healthy and litter-free community. Wendi graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor’s degree in Education/Health Fitness Studies. As a KFB board member, she is looking forward to representing the local level affiliates and helping KFB advance its mission of inspiring, educating and empowering people in Florida to improve and beautify their community environments.
Affiliate Representative, Keep Lee County Beautiful
Trish Fancher is the Executive Director of Keep Lee County Beautiful, Inc. in Fort Myers, Florida. Fancher leads a staff that conducts grassroots projects and programs focused on building cleaner, greener and safer communities. She has been with Keep Lee County Beautiful since 2004 and in her current role since 2015. Under her leadership, the organization won state-level awards in 2017 for its waterway protection program and in 2019 for a social media campaign to end littering. A dedicated public servant, Fancher is deeply involved in her community. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Fort Myers South, as well as a member of the chambers of commerce for Fort Myers Beach, Greater Fort Myers and Lehigh Acres. Fancher has been a Lee County resident for more than 40 years and graduated from North Fort Myers High School in Fort Myers. She went on to study marine biology at the University of South Florida and now lives in North Fort Myers with her husband and their two children. As a KFB Board Member, Trish looks forward to helping build a more beautiful Florida by helping to build a stronger network of affiliates.
Executive Director, Keep Florida Beautiful
Savanna serves as the Executive Director of Keep Florida Beautiful and is based in Tallahassee, Florida. She handles day-to-day operations of Keep Florida Beautiful while working with over 40 statewide affiliates to carry out the mission of Keep Florida Beautiful. She is a graduate of Florida State University with a Master’s degree in Aquatic Environmental Science. Savanna enjoys serving on the Keep Florida Beautiful Board because of the opportunity it brings to connect Floridians with important environmental issues.
