Tortuga 2026
Tortuga Music Festival is a three day, multi-stage festival hosted by Rock The Ocean, an organization that raises awareness for marine conservation. All proceeds raised within the Conservation village are split between the village partners based on projects they plan to conduct. Attendees must pass through conservation village when moving from the different stages, this year Keep Florida Beautiful had the pleasure of once again being one of many partners, educating the public within the village.
Keep Florida Beautiful was able to reach thousands of people, educating them on our mission and their local affiliates-even if out of state. We had this years focus on Invasive species, attendees learned about Florida’s top ten invasives through an interactive game. We also had information on our cigarette butt recycling program which is always a hit!
Why does Keep Florida Beautiful attend a music festival?
- Tortuga allows us to reach an audience we otherwise wouldn’t organically reach
- Tortuga and Rock The Ocean have a mission to raise awareness for conservation which is at the core of KFB
- We not only get to share information, we get to learn from so many other organizations and network
Every year that we attend we take away lessons and ideas on how to be better stewards and educators.
This year we had Molly Ferch with Keep Oakland Park Beautiful, Solanch Lopez and Diego Cancel with Keep Coral Gables Beautiful, and Red Barrett volunteer throughout the weekend. This allows local affiliates, volunteers, and Board members a chance to work one on one with KFB and see first-hand the impact we make while attending these events.
